De Wet Spies
Regional Manager
De Wet serves both the Mergon and Maclellan Foundations overseeing the granting strategy for the region. A native South African, he brings extensive ministry experience from across the African continent. From 2008 to 2013, he was a full-time staff member at Every Nation Pretoria, helping plant a multi-congregation church. He then served as a missionary in South Sudan and Kenya, planting a campus church and directing a non-profit media house. Driven by a passion to see God’s Kingdom come in Africa, De Wet's current role combines his love for ministry, non-profit leadership, and business. He is energized by engaging with innovative ideas, people, and situations, and finds fulfillment in working with diverse groups on meaningful projects.
Ofhentse Piet
Regional Manager
Ofhentse serves both the Mergon and Maclellan Foundations in building and supporting partnerships with ministries across Sub-Saharan Africa. Born in rural northeastern Botswana, he completed his education in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Since 2011, he has served as a missionary in multiple countries, pioneering church planting efforts along the Swahili coast. Throughout his career, his strategic thinking and relationship-building skills have been key in connecting and supporting Kingdom-minded leaders. Driven by a strong sense of calling, Ofhentse finds fulfillment in connecting the dots, facilitating collaborative partnerships, and teaching God's word.
Apollos Adja
Field Associate
Apollos focuses on building partnerships in West Africa and Francophone regions for both the Mergon and Maclellan Foundations. Originally from Benin and raised in Côte d’Ivoire, he embraced Christianity in 2008 and became active in church planting in South Africa and Madagascar. With extensive experience in youth and social development, especially in Togo, Apollos excels in working across diverse cultural settings, promoting youth employment, and forging strong stakeholder partnerships. Driven by his faith and passion for empowering youth, he loves seeing positive changes in individuals and communities, valuing the relationships and continuous learning that come with his work.
Middle East + North Africa
Ehab Youssef
Strategy Director for Middle East + North Africa (MENA)
Originally from Egypt, Ehab was raised in a Coptic Orthodox family and became a believer in 1991. He began his professional career in business at Orascom Construction Industry before making a transition to full-time ministry work. Ehab went on to serve as CEO of Healing Grace Ministries, play a key role in EQUIP Ministries' team training in the Middle East, and manage Operation Christmas Child's efforts in the region. Passionate about Kingdom-building and encouraging wise giving among Kingdom investors, Ehab leverages his extensive experience across Arabic countries to train churches and foundations in effective local engagement.
Marian Francis (Maro)
Field Associate
Marian was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, in a nominal Christian family but committed her life to Jesus at age 9. Evangelistic ministry has always been a huge part of Marian’s life, even before she made it her career. After working full-time with Healing Grace Ministry as an accountant, Marian joined Maclellan in 2015 to help with on-the-ground due diligence, verification, and strategy/impact analysis. In her role, she enjoys guiding ministries toward long-term sustainability, focusing on the future of their ministries rather than merely executing projects. With such immense need in the world, Marian is driven to be part of the solution and focus on building real relationships with grantees. To her, it is about more than the money; it is about offering consultation and support through prayer, field visits, and regular meetings.
Rama Alhaddadin
Field Associate
Rama was born in and has spent her entire life in Jordan. Raised in a Christian family, she had a personal encounter with Christ in 2008 which led to a career in ministry. Her diverse ministry experiences have allowed her to build strategic connections in the region and understand how to best address local needs and challenges. In her role at Maclellan, she specializes in project coordination, grant management, and developing strategic partnerships. Personally committed to community service, she has organized initiatives for refugee children and taught underprivileged kids in remote areas. Driven by her passion for Christ and His Kingdom, Rama finds joy in collaborating with diverse people and building partnerships that reflect Christ’s teachings of service and love.
South + Southeast Asia
Randy KENNEDY
Senior strategy Director for Southeast Asia
Randy joined the Maclellan Foundation in 2007, where he currently oversees granting in South and Southeast Asia and supports the opening of Latin America. Driven by his passion for impact and Kingdom growth, Randy excels at “seeing over the horizon” to figure out where he should be working next and has a strategic instinct for identifying effective ministries. In his role, he is most fulfilled when grantees share that his personal involvement has significantly impacted their work. Prior to joining Maclellan, Randy worked at IBM, Lotus Development, and Netscape before moving into ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ where he focused on major donor development.
Poh Siu Lie
Portfolio manager
After 13 years in business and earning advanced degrees in Accounting and Intercultural Studies, Poh Siu felt called to ministry and joined Maclellan in 2014. Currently, Poh Siu is the Portfolio Manager for IndoMalay countries, where she manages over 20 grantees across four countries, with a primary focus on Indonesia. Her role involves networking, conducting due diligence, and providing strategic counsel to ministries. Poh Siu excels in interpersonal connections, attentive listening, and creating strategic systems for Kingdom opportunities. She finds fulfillment in witnessing the growth and progress of the ministries she serves and enjoys engaging in coaching-style discussions to develop impactful strategies.
Ben Chukiatiwongul
Portfolio manager
Born and raised in Bangkok, Ben grew up in a family marked by transformation—his father, a former Muslim, became a pastor, and his mother, once a Buddhist, now serves as a children’s minister. That legacy continues in Ben’s own ministry as a pastor and church planter. In 2020, he helped launch Gospel City Bangkok, where he continues to serve. He also trains pastors through City to City Thailand, equipping leaders to contextualize the Gospel in today’s shifting culture. As the Maclellan’s Portfolio Manager for Indochina, Ben builds ministry partnerships across Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. This humbling role has allowed him to support Kingdom work across Southeast Asia on a scale he never imagined. He brings to the work a deep understanding of the region, a heart for local leaders, and a passion to see the Church thrive in hard places.
Maria Consuelo Locop (Cho)
Portfolio Manager
Cho, a native of the Philippines, currently serves as Maclellan’s Portfolio Manager for the Indochina region serving the countries of Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines since 2021. At Maclellan, she draws on her diverse background in government, NGOs, churches, and business, including serving as the Chief of Operations for Just Projects Philippines. She excels in people-relations, networking, and communication, having a strong passion for collaboration and Kingdom growth. Cho finds joy in partnering with ministries that make a significant Kingdom impact and supporting the unity of the Body of Christ.
Eappen John
Portfolio manager
Eappen, from Hyderabad, South India, serves as the Portfolio Manager for South Asia, building on 14 years' experience as a Field Associate. He came to Maclellan after a career as a Mathematics lecturer, followed by time as an adjunct professor in organizational leadership at Development Associates Initiative (DAI). With extensive experience in due diligence and grant-making, Eappen focuses on developing strategic partnerships in South Asia. In addition to grant-making activities, he enjoys training emerging leaders and creating resources to help them develop their skills to better serve the Kingdom.
